The painting of Dredd has FINALLY begun!!!
While I didn't get far, the foundation piece--his jumpsuit--is now done. I am very pleased with how it turned out: I used a roughly 60-40 mix of Vallejo Black and Reaper Midnight Blue, and the achieved undertone is perfect for what lies ahead!
NEXT: the boots and gear!
UPDATE 22.01.2014. . . Dredd is now undercoated (nb: The "white" metals are still in primer, as is the helmet.)! I used Andrea's American Uniform/Olive Green from their first series of paints for the boots, gauntlets and gear--an ideal green with just a hint of blue bias.
