The Night King - Prep 5: Detailing, pt. 1

There is quite a bit of work remaining, but most of this falls under "detailing". As with the armour, I will log the progress as an itemized s-b-s. . . And as with the armour, should any reader require additional details/information, please do not hesitate to ask in the Comments. . .

25.04.2019--The leggings and foot wrappings ("shoes") of the NK are in the process of being scribed and/or undercut with special attention to the distinct herringbone pattern of the medial x-overs. Unfortunately, the casting seam runs along the entire length of the x-overs: I have yet to see any build-up where the miniaturist has taken the time to restore the x-overs. 08.05-- X-overs DONE!

I have also begun the finishing of the 'collar' (armour lining at the neck opening), which has been resculpted to the neck itself; and the inner elbow-joint wraps of the reanimated arms.

Finally, I am in the process of finishing the seams on the skirt of the gambeson. . .

26.04.2019--Began tweaking the likeness of the subject: most of the work will be concentrated on the mandible and the lower lip.

27.04.2019--Finalized fitting of the arms to the torso. Began preparing for the sculpting of the armour lining to the arms. . .

28.04.2019--Right armour lining DONE! Figure mounted on its provisional work base.

05.05.2019--Left armour lining DONE! Likeness of subject all-but-done!!

07.05.2019--Continued refining the face/head, replacing some of the horns with clear PS.

08.05.2019--Face/head. . . DONE! 27.05.2019--Tweaked volume of cranium.

When the cost of a hobby exceeds the fun and doesn't attract new people, the game is over.” -
