SWEET!!!:-):-) I know he is only u/c'ed but he isstarting to take onthe "Dark" and "Sinister" look of his screen persona already! I can sense you already schieving the affect F.W. Murnau wanted for this character in his silent film classic. I LOVE it!! His cap just sets his face off beautifully as well. I am so happy you used it since in most versions of him it isn't.
I couldn't agree more, and I am relieved that the sub-par images convey that "presence". I am very much looking forward to breaking out the oils: hopefully I will have time to do so on at least one day this weekend as they are keeping us on a very short leash at work. . . :-(
My goal is to have the "body" all but done by mid-week, then I can take advantage of the upcoming long weekend to work on the head, the keys and the groundwork.
That is a real puzzler for me--why isn't the nightcap included in the overwhelming majority of renditions? To me it is iconic; but I certainly understand that it is limited to but two acts in the film--and early ones at that; and the fact that it is not very easy to figure out precisely what he is wearing. I know what it is, and I have a pretty good idea of the overall structure of the garment; nevertheless, my rendition is but an approximation that could probably use a revision or two.
Augie,
